Zingalamaduni

The title is a shortened Swahili phrase meaning the beehive of culture. Three singles came from it, United Front, Africa's Inside Me and Ease My Mind, and Ease My Mind was the highest-charting. The album reached 55 on the Billboard 200 and 20 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and counted as a disappointment next to the debut. Its samples include the Isley Brothers' Footsteps in the Dark on United Front, Al Green's Look What You've Done for Me on Warm Sentiments and George Clinton's Open All Night Drums on Ease My Mind.

Rolling Stone gave it four stars and wrote that "Speech still has a gift for the swinging rhythms and decent expressions that get past the differences that divide the pop audience."
