Milonga del ángel is the second part of the Angel Series, a composition from 1965. Piazzolla recorded it live in 1965 and again on his 1986 album Tango: Zero Hour, where it runs 6:31. A 1993 album also took its name from the piece.

A reviewer of the Montreal Symphony's orchestral version, on the disc Tangazo, called it a soft, sensual, slow-moving tango, "very atmospheric."
