Iceblink is the glare of sunlight on an ice field or glacier. The song was the first single from Heaven or Las Vegas, in August 1990, and the band's first single released in the United States, where it reached four on the modern rock chart; in Britain it made thirty-eight. AllMusic called it almost a rave-up, and it is in 1001 Songs You Must Hear Before You Die. The CD single included Mizake the Mizan, whose title, the band's site explains, is slang for buying drugs. The video opens on swirling red lights, with Fraser singing in black and white and Guthrie and Raymonde among bright lights. It became one of their most performed songs, from the opening night of the 1990 tour in Brussels to Roskilde in 1996.
