Fellow Hoodlums
The third album, a number two record that sold about half as many copies as its predecessor.
Deacon Blue, 1991
- Released
- 3 June 1991
- Label
- Columbia
- Producer
- Jon Kelly
Fellow Hoodlums reached number two in the UK in 1991 and spent over six months on the chart. Four singles came from it: Your Swaying Arms, the top 10 hit Twist and Shout, Closing Time and Cover from the Sky. Jon Kelly, who had produced Raintown, produced it again, with Michael Brauer mixing.
The Washington Post found the singing too bland and the playing too safe. It sold half as many copies as When the World Knows Your Name, though it was certified Platinum in the UK. Edsel Records issued a deluxe remaster with a bonus CD and a DVD of videos on 22 October 2012.
