Live From London: Camden Palace 1985

ITV filmed the concert for Live from London, a series that ran from 1983 to 1985 and showed bands recorded at the Camden Palace, now Koko; IQ were promoting The Wake at the time, and the programme was later pushed to late-night slots. The set appeared in 1986 as the Living Proof LP on Samurai, released without the band's consent and regarded as a bootleg, then on VHS, on a Giant Electric Pea CD in the 1990s and on DVD in 2005. Esoteric's 2026 edition on CD and Blu-ray has a new mix from the original 24-track masters and restored video.

It catches the classic early line-up at one of Nicholls's last shows of his first stint. Orford thought they played everything too fast, but Real Gone found Holmes's fuzzy guitar lines still superb, and The Progressive Aspect picked out the title song of The Wake as a highlight.
