Recorded with Phil Collins on drums while Martyn's marriage was ending, it sat on the shelf for more than a year because Blackwell found it too sad. Martyn called it a direct communication of emotion, and Rolling Stone called it a very strong outing. A deluxe edition followed in 2007, and he reprised the album at his final concerts in 2008.
