Nelson said that the sound rolling around at the start is a big gas cylinder Donne found, and called the piece their attempt to bring Einsturzende Neubauten into their music, with Chris Johnston's violin and Carter Brown's synthesizer ghosts. Donne insisted the clanking chains were not samples but played live. Misfit City heard a nightmarish midnight journey in a tin hulk of a ferry. It opened their set at the Garage in London in April 1996.
