It closes Script for a Jester's Tear, after a fragment of Market Square Heroes heard on a radio, with a children's choir from the Marquee Club and Peter Cockburn as the newscaster. Its last section grew out of an early song, Alice, and Fish wrote the prayer section, a reworking of the Lord's Prayer, after an acid trip. Kelly described an opening in 3/4, a 6/8 jig drawn from Irish and Scottish folk, Emulator sounds of saxophone, crumhorn and French horn, and a classical orchestral chord at the end.
Fish said it was about government manipulation, and drew on a cousin injured in a riot and his sense that nobody cared. It was never a single. setlist.fm logs 240 performances from March 1981 to June 1987 and none after Fish left, and live versions appear on Real to Reel, Recital of the Script and Early Stages. The upload in the hypersongs web is a live performance in the studio for BBC2's The Old Grey Whistle Test on 20 May 1983, the band's first television appearance with Andy Ward on drums.
