Made with the support of Neneh Cherry and Cameron McVey, partly in their house, and produced with Jonny Dollar, who composed the strings for Unfinished Sympathy that Wil Malone arranged and that were recorded at Abbey Road. AllMusic, NME and Mojo all gave it full marks, and Pitchfork 9.0. It is on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 greatest albums, and Unfinished Sympathy was voted tenth in a Guardian poll of the greatest songs in 1999.
