It was released on 18 April 1994, and three singles came from it: Do You Love Me? on 28 March, Loverman on 4 July and Red Right Hand on 24 October.
Mick Harvey, a co-writer of Red Right Hand, recalled that the song began during the writing of the album. Other artists have returned to the record's songs: Metallica covered Loverman on Garage Inc. in 1998, and Martin Gore of Depeche Mode recorded it for Counterfeit2 in 2003. The album was certified silver in Britain, for 60,000 units, and had sold about 50,000 copies in the US by January 1996.
