The Get Back sessions, remixed by Phil Spector and released after the band had split.
The Beatles, 1970

1969 to 1970

Apple
Producer
Phil Spector
Length

The record came out of the Get Back project and the rooftop concert of 30 January 1969. Glyn Johns's two Get Back mixes were rejected, and Spector added orchestral overdubs, which upset McCartney on "The Long and Winding Road". George Martin had produced the original sessions. It won the 1971 Grammy for Best Original Score, though contemporary reviews were negative, with NME's Alan Smith calling it a cheapskate epitaph.
