"Cruiser's Creek" was released on 11 October 1985, and is a bonus track on the 1988, 1990 and 1997 CD releases of This Nation's Saving Grace. It is built around a circular, twangy guitar riff by Brix Smith, and the lyrics detail a debauched office party. Writing in The Guardian in 2014, Dave Simpson called it leftfield and outsiderly, yet as catchy as anything by the Beatles.
The video was directed by Smith and Cerith Wyn Evans and stars Leigh Bowery, in a role Smith described as "a clerk on acid". Listeners of John Peel's show put it at number 3 in the Festive Fifty. There are 52 logged setlists, the last on 14 May 1987.
