The EP collects singles issued between 1995 and 1997. Its first track is Modulor Mix, Godin's Le Corbusier tribute, and Les professionnels later served as the basis for All I Need on Moon Safari. Godin called Le soleil est près de moi the best song they ever did, and said it proved that the best you do is not always the most successful. A 1999 reissue added Californie and Brakes On, and the EP had sold 77,000 copies in the United States as of 2001.
