Plant remembered the heart of it being recorded in ten days in Nashville, with T Bone Burnett producing. It reached number 2 in the US and the UK and number 1 in Norway, and at the 2009 Grammys it won all five awards it was nominated for, among them Album of the Year and Record of the Year for Please Read the Letter. It was also the Americana Honors album of the year, and it made her a name in the rock press. AllMusic heard one of the most effortless pairings in modern popular music.
