Callahan wanted to release it under his own name, but Drag City pushed back, so he kept Smog for one last record and changed it on the next. Connie Lovatt played bass, Jim White drums and Travis Weller fiddle, with Thor Harris also on the sessions and Joanna Newsom on piano for Rock Bottom Riser, a single in 2006. It closes with Let Me See the Colts and includes the traditional In the Pines. Gil Scott-Heron took I'm New Here as the title track of his final album. Metacritic scores it 76.
