Held

Held was the first single from Knock Knock, and the original Drag City release carried Cold Blooded Old Times as its b-side. Pitchfork's Philip Sherburne called it an "incandescent swamp rocker" and said Callahan wanted to make anthems on this record. The song is about contentment, trust and the security of being held, and Sherburne singles out the moment where he sings about moving away from within the reach of himself, reading the song as one about growing up, or at least trying to.

Spoon sometimes play it in concert, and their version is on their 2022 album Lucifer on the Sofa. The song was also used in a commercial for the 2008 Cadillac Escalade.
