In Brazil the record was simply titled Bixiga 70, the band's third album, and it was dedicated to their ancestors. Glitterbeat issued it internationally as III. It was written in the studio in the summer of 2014, just after the Morocco trip, with no arrangements prepared, and every piece was credited to the collective for the first time. The band told Rhythm Passport they walked in, looked at each other and asked what they were going to play. It was recorded live at Traquitana, mixed by Victor Rice at Estúdio Copan and mastered by Grant Phabao in Paris, with guest Anderson Quevedo on tenor saxophone and flute throughout and art by MZK. Ventania is a traditional piece arranged by the band.

Morocco runs through it, most of all in Lembe, alongside Northeastern Brazilian influences and guitar leaning toward psychedelia and brega. The label's copy name-checks Moroccan cumbia, spiritual jazz and Angolan guitar music. Sounds and Colours gave it five stars and found it more cohesive, dynamic and smoother than before. NPR's Banning Eyre singled out Martelo as a super charged afrobeat groove, and Songlines gave it four stars. In 2016 Victor Rice dubbed seven of its nine tracks for The Copan Connection.
