Across 110th Street is the soundtrack to Barry Shear's 1972 film of the same name, starring Yaphet Kotto and Anthony Quinn. Womack wrote and performed the songs, and J. J. Johnson composed and conducted the score. Six tracks are credited to Bobby Womack and Peace, and the other five are Johnson and his orchestra.
The title song reached number 19 on the Hot Soul Singles chart and number 56 on the Hot 100 in 1973. The version in the film differs from the single and album version. The album also carries a slower, acoustic remake of "(If You Don't Want My Love) Give It Back" from Communication, here titled "If You Don't Want My Love".
