Lessons Learned from Rocky I to Rocky III

The lead single from Handcream for a Generation, comparing the Rocky films to the music industry.

Singh compared learning lessons from the Rocky films to learning about the music industry, and the lyrics comment on the nu metal trend and the state of the business, which Singh found saddening because it had become more manufactured. Paul McGuigan of Oasis plays bass, and the rhythm recalls Rocks by Primal Scream.

It was released as the album's lead single on 4 March 2002 and peaked at number 37 on the UK Singles Chart. The video was directed by Douglas Avery from an idea by Singh and filmed in South Africa. Christgau praised its guitar vamp.
