The Holy Pictures

It opens The Holy Pictures and was one of the album's two singles. Holmes sings it, and he said he had never sung before. He called it a very personal song and one he is proud of. AllMusic's Thom Jurek called it a killer track.

Years after its release it was used in the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics, over footage of David Beckham and Jade Bailey bringing the flame up the Thames. Holmes said Danny Boyle put it in the middle of the ceremony and that it entered the charts the next week. It was also the theme to the first series of Dara O Briain's Science Club in 2012.
