Etran de L'Aïr, 2018
- Released
- 4 June 2018
- Label
- Sahel Sounds, Imouhar Production
Released on Sahel Sounds with Imouhar Production, the debut runs to seven songs, the longest of them Hadija at over nine minutes. Timothy Stollenwerk mixed and mastered it and Ahmoudou Madassane co-produced. The band say they have written more than forty songs. Afropop praised its looseness and quoted Madassane saying they make music for people without money, and Cyclic Defrost heard party music built to bring people together. Amanda Petrusich of The New Yorker named it her album of the year in December 2020.
