Cosmic Slop

The title track of the 1973 album has Garry Shider on lead vocals, Shider and Ron Bykowski on guitars, Tyrone Lampkin on drums and Cordell Mosson on bass. Later Parliament and Funkadelic line-ups remade it several times. A live version taken from a rehearsal appears on the 1976 album Hardcore Jollies, and a 1983 live version, released in 1990 on Live at the Beverly Theater, has Dennis Chambers on drums, Rodney Curtis on bass and Eddie Hazel, Garry Shider and Michael Hampton on guitar.

Members of Parliament and Funkadelic contributed to a full cover for Bill Laswell's Axiom Funk project, on the 1995 album Funkcronomicon. Redman's 1994 album Dare Iz a Darkside includes a song called Cosmic Slop, featuring Erick Sermon and Keith Murray, named after the Funkadelic record.
