Wareham wrote that it is about the power steering in his old 1975 Dodge Dart, and about being alone behind the wheel. Recorded in the second On Fire session in summer 1989, it has a falsetto vocal he had not planned and counts among his high points. Ralph Carney also played saxophone over it; the band preferred the guitar version for the album but released the saxophone one as the single and video, which Melody Maker found intrusive. It was among their most played songs live and was recorded for John Peel. The upload in the hypersongs web is the album version.
