The lyric follows a trip to a drugstore, a snack and a wait in line, asking again and again why everyone seems strange. Stereogum heard strummed acoustic guitar recalling early R.E.M., Wareham at the top of his range, and barely concealed pathos. It was cut in the first On Fire session in February 1989. Galaxie 500 rarely played it, but Wareham has kept it in his solo and Luna sets, more than a hundred times. The upload in the hypersongs web is the album version.
