Recorded and produced by the band between June and November 1973 in their home studio at Forst, with live material from the Paradiso in Amsterdam, it came in a laminated gatefold as the first record on Brain's green label. Roedelius said it differed from what came after because it combined concert recordings with material made beforehand. Brain reissued it in 1979 with a new cover under the title Dino.
It sold poorly on release but has grown in standing. Uncut placed the two Harmonia studio albums among the best Krautrock had to offer, gentler than Can or Faust. The Guardian heard ambient tendencies in it, and PopMatters found something spacious and pastoral about the whole affair.
