Dino opens side two of Musik von Harmonia. Post-Punk Monk called it a brief and very energetic motorik pop song, with twangy rhythm guitar and flute-like synth leads, and heard in it a blueprint for later motorik music. Vinyl Connection said it starts at a gallop as a classic example of the motorik beat and shares its DNA with Neu!'s Hallogallo, while Derek's Music Blog noted that it recreates classic Neu! with only half of Neu! present. In 1979 Brain reissued the whole album under the title Dino with a different cover, and the track also appears on the Brain compilation Zwei Gesichter.
Live
There is no record of the band playing it in the 1970s. It returned at the reunion concert in Berlin on 27 November 2007, between Veteranissimo and Deluxe (Immer Wieder), and closed the set logged at All Tomorrow's Parties at Mount Buller in Australia on 10 January 2009. Sqürl remixed it for the album's fiftieth-anniversary edition. The upload in the hypersongs web is the studio version from the album, posted by a fan.
