Blink is the third track on the first side of Music for Nine Post Cards. Like the rest of the album it was made by Yoshimura alone at home, built up in layers of keyboard on a multi-track recorder, with Satoshi Ashikawa producing and Michinori Yamazaki engineering. Tiny Mix Tapes heard the album's pieces bring their titles to life in an almost onomatopoeic way.
Spencer Doran chose it for the compilation Kankyō Ongaku, released by Light in the Attic in February 2019 and nominated for Best Historical Album at the 62nd Grammy Awards. The harpist Mary Lattimore recorded it as a single in November 2023, and her version also appears on the compilation Light in the Attic & Friends. The upload in the hypersongs web is the album version.
