Play on hypersongs

Recorded in Nashville with Elliot Mazer producing, Adam Mitchell as musical director and players from the session group Area Code 615, with some work finished in San Francisco. It sets Lovesick Blues and Mel Tillis's Mental Revenge beside songs by Mickey Newbury, Goffin and King, Paul Siebel and Gary White, and it was her first album to chart in the US. Rolling Stone said her voice was what made the record, and Stephen Thomas Erlewine heard the Nashville sessions as clarifying. Ronstadt herself told Rolling Stone in 1975 that she hated it, and that she could not sing then.
