Pavement released the original as a single on 22 June 1999, from their final album Terror Twilight. It was backed by Harness Your Hopes, which became the band's most listened song on Spotify in 2017. Nickel Creek recorded it for This Side in 2002, where it is credited to Stephen Malkmus and runs 2:34, and the choice drew the album attention in indie rock circles.
Kathryn Williams also covered it, on her 2004 album Relations.
