Her second Epic album came out on 23 August 1994 and reached number eight on the Top Country Albums chart. Its four singles, I Try to Think About Elvis, You Don't Even Know Who I Am, Here I Am and Halfway Down, all reached the country top ten, and I Try to Think About Elvis, the lead single, peaked at number three. The album was certified platinum in 1996.
It won the Country Music Association's Album of the Year in 1995, which made Loveless only the third woman to win the award. The album had not originally been considered for the category, and the CMA added it after disqualifying Alison Krauss's Now That I've Found You. Old Weakness (Coming On Strong) was later recorded by Greg Holland and Delbert McClinton in 1997, and with Over My Shoulder by Tanya Tucker in 2002.
