- Studio
- Groundstar Laboratories and Woodland Digital, Nashville
- Label
- Epic
- Producer
- Emory Gordy Jr.
The album followed her move from MCA to Epic and was produced by Emory Gordy Jr. It was made after the vocal cord surgery of October 1992, and AllMusic and the Virgin Encyclopedia of Country Music both cite it as her breakthrough. Alanna Nash of Entertainment Weekly thought her voice had grown stronger since the operation. It reached number nine on the Top Country Albums chart and number 63 on the Billboard 200, and was certified platinum.
Its singles were Blame It on Your Heart, which reached number one in June 1993, Nothin' but the Wheel at number 20 in the week of 23 October 1993, You Will at number six, and How Can I Help You Say Goodbye at number three. You Will had been recorded first by Anne Murray as the title track of her 1990 album, and Peter Wolf later covered Nothin' but the Wheel on his record Sleepless. AllMusic rated the album 4.5 out of 5 and Entertainment Weekly gave it an A+. Discogs lists the sessions as recorded at Groundstar Laboratories and Woodland Digital in Nashville, with overdubs at Woodland Digital, mixed by John Guess and mastered by Glenn Meadows.
