Peace at Last
The third album, built around Buchanan's acoustic guitar instead of the electronics of the first two.

Peace at Last was a considerable departure for the band. Where A Walk Across the Rooftops and Hats used electronic instrumentation almost exclusively, this record was driven mainly by Paul Buchanan's acoustic guitar. A gospel choir, Eddie Tate and Friends, appears briefly on the lead single Happiness, and Craig Armstrong did the string orchestration on Family Life.
Critical reaction was mixed. Q gave it five stars, but in the years after its release it stayed largely in the shadow of the first two albums. A 2CD edition followed on 3 March 2014, with bonus mixes of Soon and War Is Love and an unreleased demo, A Certain Kind of Angel.
