- 28 to 29 March 1967
- Label
- Bang Records
- Producer
- Bert Berns
- Length
- 35:32
Recorded on 28 and 29 March 1967 and intended to be released as four singles, the songs were compiled into an album by Bert Berns without Morrison's consent. Morrison had signed his Bang contract without fully studying it, and he said he learned of the album when a friend mentioned buying a copy. He disliked the psychedelic cover, saying that on seeing it he almost threw up. Morrison does not regard it as a true album.
Of the eight songs all but Goodbye Baby (Baby Goodbye) and Midnight Special were written by Morrison. The album peaked at number 182 on the Billboard 200. Rolling Stone included it among its 40 essential albums of 1967.
