The fourth single from Curtis was released on 24 July 2007. It features Justin Timberlake and vocals from Timbaland, who produced it with Danja. 50 Cent flew to Florida to work on the song with Timberlake, and it was finished in Houston. HipHopDX reported that the title changed several times: it leaked in May 2007 as Ayo Pornography, was called Ayo Technology in June, She Wants It by July, and finally reverted to Ayo Technology.
It peaked at number five on the Hot 100 in the week Curtis and Graduation were released, his eighth top-ten single as lead artist. In the United Kingdom it reached number two, a higher peak than In da Club, which reached number three. It also topped the New Zealand chart. The Grammys nominated it for best rap song. The video was filmed in North London and premiered on BET on 2 August 2007. Rolling Stone's Rob Sheffield and Pitchfork both gave it mixed reviews.
The Belgian singer Milow recorded an acoustic version that topped the charts in the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. Katerine Avgoustakis covered it in 2009.
