Mr. Porter of D12 produced it and Dr. Dre mixed it. He made the beat with the engineer Brandon Parrott after Dre, impressed, asked whether he had more instrumentals. Dre offered to buy seven of the ten he supplied, and this was one of them. Porter told Complex that he thought 50 Cent picked it believing it was a Dre production. The track rests on steelpan, with reggae and Caribbean touches, and Rolling Stone singled out its slick steel drums.
The third single came out on 24 June 2003 together with a remix featuring Snoop Dogg, Lloyd Banks and Young Buck, which was later added to some digital editions of the album. It reached number three on the Hot 100 and number two on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Billboard counted it as the second-best-selling single from the album, at 890,000 copies by 2013. The video has 50 Cent auditioning for a P.I.M.P. Legion of Doom led by Snoop Dogg's character, and it was nominated for best rap video at the 2004 MTV Video Music Awards, losing to Jay-Z's 99 Problems. The RIAA certified it gold.
