The first track on Water From An Ancient Well, written by Ibrahim and just under five minutes long. AllMusic's Scott Yanow listed it among the album's melodies that rank with Ibrahim's finest compositions.
Ibrahim's own history with Nelson Mandela is long. After meeting Mandela in Germany in 1990 he returned to South Africa, and in 1994 he played at Mandela's inauguration. The Guardian reported that backstage Mandela told him, Bach? Beethoven? We've got better.
