Beware (The Funk Is Everywhere)

Credited to Afrika Bambaataa and Family and issued on Tommy Boy in 1986, it came after the 1985 Family release Funk You. Christgau graded it a B. He wrote that selected producers combined Bambaataa's electro leanings with the prescribed heavy guitars, and that only Kick Out the Jams overcame the formlessness of personality his detractors had always charged him with. He heard Bill Laswell all over that track.
