Aimee Mann, 2002

Released
August 2002
Label

Lost in Space came out in August 2002 on SuperEgo. The cover and accompanying mini-comic were drawn by the Canadian cartoonist Seth. She performed This Is How It Goes and Pavlov's Bell in an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Today's the Day was used in the 2002 film Enough.

Reviews were mixed. Uncut gave it four stars out of five and called it textured and complex, while Rolling Stone gave it two and said the tempos and melodies drag. Metacritic scores it 74 out of 100. By June 2008 it had sold 232,000 copies in the United States. A remastered reissue was announced in March 2025, along with a US anniversary tour.
