Uncut says Spence wrote it for his daughter Heather, and that it imagines a world with no pain. Analog Planet describes the opening: bright acoustic guitar and wandering electric leads, then a loose drum take, with Spence singing of little hands clapping all over the world. A Louder writer thought it could easily have been a hit.
Robert Plant covered it for the 1999 tribute More Oar. Beck sang it in his Record Club version of the album.
