Winehouse and Salaam Remi wrote it, and it was the lead single from Frank, released in the UK on 6 October 2003 with the B-side What It Is. It peaked at 71 on the UK Singles Chart, the lowest-charting single of her career. It nevertheless won the 2004 Ivor Novello Award for Best Contemporary Song Musically and Lyrically. In the Guardian's review of Frank, Beccy Lindon called it the brazen single. Garry Mulholland of the Guardian wrote in 2004 that the single was about a former boyfriend whom she castigates for his weakness.
The video has her walk into a bar and find her boyfriend drunk, lamenting that he has failed to be the stronger partner. It follows her taking him home and ends with her leaving him semi-conscious on the pavement. A rare live version appears in Asif Kapadia's 2015 documentary Amy, and the original recording is on its soundtrack. Winehouse sang the song in 49 of the 265 logged setlists that list songs, from a Janice Long BBC studio session in London in September 2003 to Porchester Hall, London, in March 2007.
