Nucleus

Their second album: seven songs, more dissonant and longer than Vemod, recorded in the second half of 1995.
Anekdoten, 1995

Nucleus (Virta 002) was recorded from July to November 1995 at Studio Largen and in a rehearsal room, produced by Tommy Andersson and the band; a 2004 remaster added the bonus track "Luna Surface". Barker plays guitar, Fender Rhodes, clavinet, pump organ, Mellotron and vocals, Dahlberg cello, Mellotron and vocals, Liljestrom bass and vocals, and Nordins percussion, with Helena Kallander on violin and Andersson on Fender Rhodes on "Harvest", the only track where he appears as a performer. The Mellotron sounds listed on the band's site include violins, flute, vibes, choir and viola, from the band's own Mark V.

AllMusic gave it four and a half stars. Planet Mellotron wrote that it immediately showed signs of a stylistic change, with more dissonance and longer songs, and called it an essential purchase, despite or maybe because of its more diverse feel.
