Garry Glenn and Dianne Quander wrote this ballad, and Elektra released it as the follow-up to Sweet Love. It reached number six on the Hot Black Singles chart, number nine on adult contemporary, and number 37 on the Hot 100 in the week of 14 February 1987. Albumism hears Baker scatting the melody at the start, a bass-led romantic groove, and a moment for the acoustic guitar near the end. Michael J. Powell played guitar, with Vernon Fails on keyboards, David B. Washington on bass, Arthur Marbury on drums and Lawrence Fratangelo on percussion, and Sir Gant arranged. Baker sang the lead and the backing vocals herself.
Easlea of the BBC counted it among the three tracks Baker will always be remembered for. It opened her set at the Beverly Theatre in Los Angeles on 2 January 1987.
