Rod Temperton, a member of Heatwave, wrote it, and Baker recorded it for Rapture after The Manhattan Transfer. Albumism hears slightly haunted harmonies at the start before the soulful arrangement settles in beneath her voice. Easlea of the BBC called her reworking remarkably assured. Michael J. Powell played guitar, Vernon Fails keyboards, David B. Washington bass, Arthur Marbury drums and Lawrence Fratangelo percussion, with Natalie Jackson on backing vocals. Baker included it in her January 1987 set at the Beverly Theatre in Los Angeles, after Angel.
