Label
Partisan Records
Producer
Beth Orton

Weather Alive came out on Partisan Records on 23 September 2022. Orton began it after buying a used upright piano from a dealer at Camden Market in London for 300 pounds and making songs by playing notes around the instrument. The Guardian wrote that she produced it herself for the first time and financed it herself after her then-label proved a bad fit.

Metacritic scored it 85 from twelve reviews. In the Guardian, reviewing her Koko show, Kitty Empire wrote that it could be her best record yet. Her next album, The Ground Above, was released on Partisan Records on 26 June 2026, and Pitchfork wrote that Orton was making some of the best music of her life.
