Lenza co-produced with the band, and every track is credited as composed and arranged by Bixiga 70. The Hammond on 4 Cantos and Portal was recorded at Estúdio Som da Selva, and Primeiramente was recorded in June 2017. Lenza mixed at Estúdio La Nave in São Paulo, Victor Rice also mixed at Estúdio Copan, and Felipe Tichauer mastered at Red Traxx Music. The vinyl edition is a double album in a gatefold sleeve.

Songlines gave it four stars in December 2018. Russ Slater wrote that the band powered on with added conviction four albums in, and singled out Primeiramente. Bandcamp Daily called it the band's strongest, and the Associação Paulista de Críticos de Arte placed it among the 25 best Brazilian albums of the second half of 2018.
