Vapor

Vapor was recorded at Estúdio Traquitana in April and May 2023, the first Bixiga 70 album in four years. Every track is credited as composed, produced and arranged by Bixiga 70, except Malungu, which the band wrote and arranged with Simone Sou. Márcia Godoy and the band were executive producers. Gustavo Lenza mixed it at Estúdio La Nave, Fernando Sanches mastered it at Estúdio El Rocha, and MZK did the artwork.

The horn section is Daniel Verano, Douglas Antunes, Daniel Nogueira and Cuca Ferreira. Guests include drummer Vitor Cabral, Simone Sou, Rômulo Nardes, Mayara Almeida and Marcelle Barreto. the trombone solo on Mar Virado was recorded by Daniel Verano at Estúdio Magada, and Ferreira recorded the flute on Loa Lua at Estúdio Cuca Sounds. Songlines gave it four stars as an Editor's Choice. Peter Quinn called it an engrossing fifth album finding the band exploring a much wider musical palette, with Marginal Elevado Radial as its centrepiece and Loa Lua, named after bassist Marcelo Dworecki's daughter, as the finale.
