Keith York played drums on tracks 2 to 4, 6, 7 and 9 and Steve Perkins on 8, 11 and 12, with Stephen Francis mixing and Julian House on the artwork and photography. The reviews included the NME at 8 out of 10, the Guardian at four stars and Spin at 8, and Billy Black of Vice called it Warp's most representative release in 2014. "Echo's Answer" was a single on November 1, 1999, and Pitchfork ranked it 178th of the tracks of the 1990s.
