It was the first recording Rodney made with Jack Ruby, in early 1975. It was meant as an exclusive track for Ruby's Hi-Power sound system, but it was released as a single and became an immediate hit. The two apparently realised the song on their first meeting. It opens the album Marcus Garvey and runs 3:27, with Rodney and Phillip Fullwood credited as writers.
Trouser Press says that this song and the album of the same name made Rodney a local legend in the mid-1970s.
