Sunburst

Sunburst followed Freefall on 5 November 1990 and reached 126 in Britain. Something More, written by Sherriff, was produced by Robin Guthrie of Cocteau Twins, and it also appears on Whirlpool. Satin Safe was written by Patman and Sherriff, and Feel the Same by Patman and Rowe. The fourth track is a version of the Beatles' Rain, credited to Lennon and McCartney. Raggett praised Guthrie's production and described the verse and chorus of Satin Safe as great modern guitar psych, while finding the Rain cover a fun runthrough that does not match the original. The four songs were gathered, with Freefall, as bonus tracks on the 2006 reissue of Whirlpool.
