Chris Rea, 1991

Released
February 1991
Label
East West
Producer
Jon Kelly

Rea's eleventh studio album reached number one in Britain and in Germany in 1991. The car on the cover is the Caterham Super Seven that Rea called the Blue Seven, painted in oil by Alan Fearnley, and the album refers to it across several tracks and in the title song's video. Rea sold the car at auction in 2005.

The title track reached number 16 on the British singles chart, and Heaven, Looking for the Summer and Winter Song were also released as singles. Winter Song was issued on its own in November 1991 and appears on some later CD issues. Q described the album as more of the same, with a few subtle differences to keep both doubters and aficionados guessing.
